Hi Everyone, It has been a few months since my last post and I wanted to first say Happy New Year (2015) to everyone. I also wanna express my extreme gratitude for each one of you for your support over the last few years following and reading my blog. I set out with the intention to give just a little insight into the life, dreams, motivations, fears, losses and achievements of my life. My hopes and aspirations are and were to help anyone out there looking for some optimism or a positive outlook on whatever their dreams and motives are/were.
I have received such good feedback and awesome suggestions over my time blogging and i hope to have reached you as much as possible and i thank you for this relationship we have built and maintained over the life span of my blog.
I am incredibly excited to announce that i am taking my blog to another level and migrating over to video! Video is overwhelmingly popular today and through years of great feedback many of you have sought after me making my blogs into videos. The sense is that my personality is one you enjoy and that i am able to connect a little better through video vs text. Obviously everyone isn’t saying this but I feel like its a great time to make the change and I hope you all enjoy my next stage along with me.
I have already begun making videos and you can find them all on Youtube Page. My goal is to first turn many of my blog entries into vlogs and of course mix in some other new, fresh material as well. I hope you continue to take this journey with me as I have enjoyed hearing from you. I look forward to more ideas and thoughts of all of you so please do not hesitate to reach out and let me know what you’re thinking.
All I wanna do in this world while I’m here is feel like I’m leaving it “just” a little better than the way I found it. I have an onslaught of goals to reach before I leave this planet but this would undoubtedly be one of most dear to me.
I have seen many things in my short life and I’m looking forward to what’s next. I have been able to bear witness to some pretty horrible things which has allowed me to truly appreciate the beautiful things. This world is full of manic, sensitive, tough, enlightened, frightened, mean, loving and insightful people.
Seeing a sunset on a beach while on vacation is one thing but, looking out your apt/home window on a random Tues before the sun resigns for the day and overlooking all the things you have done in that day is breathtaking. Of course white sandy beaches are a must but long talks about life are cornerstones of my life and my inspiration to #DoBetter.
I receive so many texts, emails, and messages from those of you who are out there reading my thoughts, fears, jokes, concerns and wants. I can’t express the feeling I get when I know that someone in Missouri reads my blog or that someone in Kansas took my advice on a first date (interview) lol.
Reaching out and sharing whatever gifts I may have with the rest of the world is what I seek. I don’t think I’m better than any man and I’m sure not better than any woman (Goddesses), but I do believe that I have certain talents that compel me to be around others.
I love being around people; makes me feel like I’m living. I know that people need “alone time” but I love groups, social gatherings, teams and really anything that brings a bunch of like minded people to the same place.
However I can’t do concerts, and large capacity events like sporting games… Agreed we are all like minded in cheering on the team we like the most but seeing the underbelly of people sometimes really discourages me at my core. Not to mention my couch is way more comfortable than $10 hot dogs, lines of traffic and poor seats. lol.
I’m looking forward to the challenges coming in the future but I’m also craving the new experiences for which I’m about to face head on. No one likes the bad stuff but what would life be if we didn’t have something to compare the good stuff to?
Would we really even know what’s good or not? I’m always trying to raise questions in your mind as to how you view things.. well… what’s next for you? What has life taught you so far that you want to use for your tomorrow? What hasn’t happened yet that you wish does? What have you experienced so far that makes you want more of it?
Please email me and tell me what it is. I want to see each one you #MakeMoves and make the most out of this life. It isn’t for anyone else except yourself. When you reach the end of your trip do you want to look back and think of the things you never did or remember all the times you took a chance and said yes, welcomed the challenge and stood up to the doubters? Which version do you want?
Thanks so much for reading along with me and being a part of my journey as I hope I’m helping you in yours. #Friends #PenPals Until next time and please share and post and subscribe…
I had an interesting conversation with a friend this week – It was pretty funny and I think it had a larger point.. KJ #CoSigned. So, I asked her to put it into a post to share with everyone this week.. Enjoy!
Some food for thought:::
I’m attending a spinning event this Friday to raise money and bring awareness to the Family Reach Foundation. To be honest, I’m not entirely looking forward to it because we’ll be spinning for 3 hours straight, I don’t currently have padded bike shorts and I keep having flashbacks to the only other time I’ve attended a spinning class.
Last year, the man, the myth, the legend – Kupah James, invited me to a spin event for a new spinning club that opened up in Canton where he DJ’ed during a 1 hour class. I finally agreed 10 minutes before he left and at the end of it I was thrilled that I went and had a great time. But, I was not amazing at spinning, and I’m one of those annoying competitive people that prefer to succeed from the get go. (And, spinning hurts..)
In thinking about this I was wrestling with my perspective because obviously this is an amazing event for an incredible organization, but why didn’t I just donate money and leave it at that? I then recalled the episode of Friends in season 5: The One Where Phoebe Hates PBS and her debate with Joey about the existence of selfless good deeds.
I love the company I work for and we participate in a lot of events during the course of the year which all are tied to various charitable endeavors. They also almost all require physical activity – cycling, spinning, running, walking, triathlon-ing. The majority of my coworkers bike, walk or run to work from the suburbs and are highly competitive, athletically endowed individuals. For those of us that are not, we tend to get very nervous beforehand and then go back and do it again and again.
Understanding that “good deed” doesn’t always mean charity – but, as an example for the larger point, come on people why so nit-picky?
So what’s the deal – am I selfishly participating in this good deed, or is it selfless on account of the sacrifice from my energy, legs, competitive nature, embarrassment and functioning lady parts?
I can honestly say that it’s selfish for me. I’ll like being able to say I did this, I love that I exceeded my donation goal for funds raised & I get teary-eyed. In public. Whenever we talk about these organizations and learn how our impact was felt by individuals and families; It’s a great feeling.
Sorry Phoebs, Joey was right on this one. There are no selfless good deeds.
And for all of you that think you’re just a nicer person than I am and you selflessly help your friends out, pick up trash on the street when no one’s looking, whatever it is.. Let’s lay it all out there: 1 of the following are always true.
It’s a great feeling to think that you’ve helped even in a small way for any cause/friend/environmental impact.
And, if you’re that cold-hearted or cynical that you don’t believe in humanity – even a philanthropic millionaire who you’d assume just donates $$ for the write off or the appearance, gets the good reputation and the write off. ((Bragging rights or favors to hold against your friends))
Or, as my scientist coworkers might say: it’s science. They get you to run, walk or bike for a cause the endorphins literally make you euphoric.
Selfish doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. By taking care of YOU or making YOU feel good, you’re a better person to be around, you’re a better worker, a better friend, a better citizen and you can make a bigger impact on the world you live in.
For those of you who aren’t able to remember and quote every line of every episode of Friends.
Joey is participating in a telethon with PBS; Phoebe hates PBS because she used to watch Sesame Street as a kid and when her mom died she wrote them a letter to a less than satisfactory response. She accuses Joey of selfishness that appears as a good deed, because he wants to be on TV. Joey then claims there is no selfless good deed – Phoebe thinks birthing her brothers triplets was selfless and Joey calls her out because she felt great about doing that for her brother and loves the triplets.
My favorite way Phoebe tried to prove her point: She lets a bee sting her. “The bee gets to look tough in front of his bee friends and I am definitely not happy about it.” Joey replies, “You know the bee probably died right afterwards?”
“Because she fails at all her attempts, she decides to donate $200 to PBS, because “they bring happiness to lots of kids whose moms didn’t kill themselves”, and she won the bet. However, this donations leads to Joey being the volunteer which broke last year’s record, so he finally gets on TV; which makes Phoebe happy. (source)”
That came to me one day while debating with another about dollar bills and what to do with them, how to save it, make it, blah blah blah. I realize the importance of rainy days and/or emergencies. I know that saving money is one key to a financial security as well as ones future. We are told to manage dollars and live on a budget. Not to live beyond our means; the list continues and as we grow older we only hear more sophisticated versions of “Save Money”.
If I would like to retire young enough to enjoy some fruits of my labor then saving money is a necessity.
What if I’m to be a family man? Then my family is a wonderful reason to save. Save Save Save! A lesson they teach early in school and continue to encourage this value as life continues.
What if I wanted to just be a spend thrift and die broke?
What “They” don’t teach is how to do both, enjoy the money we’re earning now and be prepared for the future.
Let’s remember how we came into this world and how we are leaving it. Most likely it will be in a similar fashion: Broke, little to no clothing and hungry. What I mean by this is that you can’t take all that money you save with you after this life and since we haven’t figured out the exact science to say when most of us are going to die, why am I supposed to save ALL THIS MONEY?
I personally don’t want to visit Aruba and/or Hawaii in my 60’s or 70’s when I have an inhaler and a bum knee, you might but, not me. I wanna run on an Aruban beach NOW and possibly with my walker when I’m 90. Lol. I want to wear nice suits that fall on my shoulders perfectly, I would love to see something magical early in life but then be able to revisit it later on in case I realize I wasn’t mature enough to appreciate it the first time. I want to work hard and thus play harder and when my time comes I won’t feel like I was too busy saving my money to enjoy some of the freedoms and luxuries it can provide.
Don’t be fooled.. I do get it!
The average adult, with the aid of medical and technological advancements, can now live longer and may need more money saved to sustain. A soon to be grandmother is expecting her first granchild or an additional family member then I see the need to be watchful of saving. If one parent is serving the country in a military capacity then I understand that. I could go on about why living longer could/would be completely justified in needing to save more.
For me… I want to live long enough to say that I have “lived”. Simple. We have all heard phrases like “live life to the fullest” or “live like there’s no tomorrow” however I do not believe we take that to its full potential. I want to be mindful of doing that.
I live life every single day, take chances, meet new people, welcome good change while learning from poor change. I appreciate the awards and apologize for my shortcomings (well some of them) lol. I live! I push myself and refuse to be stationary by society’s expectations or demands. I set my own. So how does this relate to the title of this blog?
As a child in a single household we survived by the strongest most intuitive bold woman I will ever know: my mother. Welfare, section 8, food stamps all were part of my adolescent stages. While one half of my creation did exactly what was asked/required of her she could not protect me from the horrible humiliation I felt due to our financial situation. No one could have, it was a necessary experience I was to live and learn from. And believe me I learned…
I have successfully completed high school w 4 years perfect attendance, double majored during my undergraduate career, shared 7 years of my life working for the Norfolk County D.A.’s office while building a high end sophisticated entertainment company. Let me assure you I’m just getting started and I plan on going until I can’t go anymore.
Work hard, play hard, live bold, challenge conformity, dare to be different, question authority and believe in your own ability to #MakeMoves
The acronym Dj (Disc Jockey) is synonymous with fun, energetic, cool..the list goes on 😉 Most Djs are actually pretty socially awkward individuals who use the manipulation of tracks to speak/entertain the masses. In my case, Djing is a way for me to move the masses while engaging in my own level of enjoyment. Today my thoughts take me through an internal playlist of steps during an event or club night. Every Dj is different, this is just my take on this topic!
First it is important to know that I am crazy nervous each and every time I spin records or emcee an event. To think that as soon as I speak I will have everyone’s undivided attention is a little overwhelming and daunting. There are many ways to get through this but, if you know me at all, then you know that I just DO IT. No time to stress and waste time. It’s time to facilitate, organize and entertain so I do what I’m paid and trusted to do and get out there.
My second thought is who is in the room? Who are my ringers? Ringers are the ones at the party who get the party going for you as soon as you play a top 40 track! Lol. Ringers are good and you need/want them around as they are unpaid interns of entertainment! Ha. Ringers are usually a bridesmaid or relative of the guest of honor or the “class clown” of an organization/company. You don’t have to find the ringer they will find you during cocktail hour and usually ask for the most popular song to be played in the first 10 mins of the event. #Really? Ringers don’t and won’t have to be intoxicated to work either; they are self-sufficient and completely autonomous. Never overlook the Ringers as they can be your guide to many more events and will act as PR experts telling everyone how great you are. Work smarter – not harder.
Now the opposite of the ringers are the Djs sans portfolio! Now these individuals are and can be a nightmare so please, if you have a friend who does this, or better yet, if you are this person: STOP THEM OR STOP YOURSELF! These amazing life forms will usually be sneaking behind the Dj booth, looking over your shoulder, trying to see what your playing and what’s coming up next. If you’re not escorting them out from behind the Dj booth they are in your face asking you to play today’s “hottest music” (as if you didn’t know any better) or worse, they want you to play the bonus track to Elvis’ hidden album on repeat and swear that it will get EVERYONE dancing. Meanwhile, if they did a 180 they would see that the dance-floor is about 90% in full effect at the exact time they want to hear the never ending story theme song! C’Mon people! As if this wasn’t bad enough they are notorious for NOT DANCING and MEAN MUGGING you ALL NIGHT while you PURPOSELY DON’T/WON’T play their song. Sorry I laughed out loud on that one.
These two particular groups are the ones you want to look out for and be mindful of. Aside from them you want to play the best music for your crowd while providing the best amount of interaction. Our job is to inspire and remind our audiences of the fun they can be immersed into by the selection of songs played in particular order.
The goal is to forget what’s going on outside and focus on what’s going on inside. Music is easily the remedy to most mental frustrations and I’m proud and honored to be able to bring together strangers in a night club or share in the celebrations of families at a wedding or honor the Bar or Bat Mitzvah man/woman on their journey to adulthood. Proms are no different; playing hits of the last 10 years while students reminisce on the last four years of their lives and look towards new horizons. Playing that song you forgot about or dancing with that one person who hasn’t danced in years or watching a young one know the words to both a Rihanna song and a Michael Jackson song, seeing ties come off and heels removed (wait wait wait I got a little ahead of myself, heels should always stay on… #KLASSY) but you get the point.
This is what I do and this is the internal playlist of steps Boston’s Kupah James of Klass Universal Entertainment. Should I have the pleasure of entertaining your next party of if I have already had the honor of performing for you in the past, I love what I do and I do what I love. I’m extremely lucky to know and believe this. I plan on providing the Klassiest entertainment this country has ever seen and raising the bar for the next decade of Klassmates. Keep an eye out for Shadi, Bobby, Lindsay, Rachel, Kazz, Hectik, Case, Matty, Evan, J Diaz and more. We are changing the way private parties are played through Klassifying each one of our events and bringing them to the next level!
#MakeMoves! So, let’s hear it: Which are you?! Ringer or “Dj”?
Spring is almost here and we have begun the 2013 Mitzvah season. This year we started off w a client/friend we have been working with for almost two years!
It was held at the very popular Rumor Boston a local nightclub. Everything was there the sound, lighting and the awesome space. The lovely, talented Ivy Fynn was the event planner and she made sure we had everything we needed.
There were almost 300 in attendance for this bash and Klass was fully staffed with our own Dj Kazz, Shadi, Leanna, Kayla & our newest member Bobby D. Creative Events was also in the building providing temporary tattoos and awesome photo booth novelties. We’ve been integrating more and more novelty items and they add so much to the experience and seriously, where were these items when I was growing up?!
Everyone had a good time and Olivia (guest of honor) looked so pretty, sisters Carley and Leana were also looking quite marvelous. Mom and Dad were ready to let loose and just wanted to make sure everyone danced the night away. To top the night off we even had one of our Djs make a customized mix for everyone at the party. So much fun was had and we are glad that everyone was happy! It really is a success when we can have just as much fun as everyone in attendance!
Below is the letter we received from the planner and we could not be more appreciative of her and the opportunities she gives us!
Any questions about Klass Universal events – please ask! And, as always, subscribe, share and comment. Until Next Time!
How do you challenge yourself? I write a lot about #MakeMoves and how I strive everyday to accomplish as much as i can and live as much as possible. But, how do I do that everyDAY? How do you?
I have days like everyone else when I don’t want to leave my place and I just want to watch movies or play a game and ignore my phone. And, I definitely take time to do those things, but usually it will be a part of my day, not my entire day. So I don’t call them bad days I have unpleasant “Moments” lol these moment are part of life and I take them and do my best to find the good in every moment. Usually just by trying a little harder those moments become motivators and I continue on a better, happier, healthier path.
I focus on my goals. My goals exist for a reason, they’re things I WANT and ENJOY. This is motivation enough for me. I am very disciplined when it comes to reaching my goals, because my goals are pretty dope as it is! There are times when others will attempt to change my focus and provide unsolicited advice. It may sound a little harsh but I would implore you to not listen to these individuals. Yes, it is in a good nature that they are trying to help. But most cases people never fully understand all the variables and factors going into every/any situation therefore they advice, opinions and thoughts are off by default. It is no fault of theirs and if you tell them then for sure they will be insulted so stay focused on the goals and for goodness sake trust yourself. If you got yourself to Monday and Tuesday then there’s no reason why you can’t make through Wednesday and Thursday, Friday and the weekend will take care of itself. Lol.
I remind myself of how great it feels. It feels pretty amazing to look at what I’ve done in a day and FALL into bed with NO regrets. People want to know why I smile so much.. I’ve made moves all day and created my own happiness what?! It feels great to get new events, meet with new event planners, new clients, new equipment and at the end of the day it feels great doing what I love and even better people love WHAT I DO! So remind yourself of how great it feels to do something good for another or yourself. DO IT!
I know I only have me to blame. This sounds negative but stick with me. I’ve built my circumstances and I’m my own boss, if I stop and fail it’s on me. I not only let down myself but I let down those that support me and believe in me. It’s a big responsibility and enough to keep me moving. There are no excuses in the world of Entrepreneurship and I won’t make any. I come off harsh at time to those I care about and I can only hope they understand the pressure I am under to answer every question when it reaches my desk. I don’t think many understand and I don’t need you to. But My role is a role I welcome gladly, the good/perks and the whole bag that comes with it.
I want to be the change. How can I tell other people to #MakeMoves and to expect more of others, if I slack myself? Let’s face it, I talk about this all day long and I’m not about to be a hypocrite. Lead by example. I didn’t make it up but I remember that phrase in my head all day everyday. But know that if I get my job done you better get yours done as well. Accept responsibility for all not just the rewards.
When it’s hard, I try harder. If I am walking into undiscovered territory, I’m nervous (it DOES happen,) or maybe I’m not feeling 100% I just push forward. I usually end up meeting someone new, LEARNING something new, having a blast or challenging myself physically or mentally. People want to believe in other people so give them something to believe in. If you sound like your knees are trembling then that will show and then your message will get lost in the fray, but if you stand tall and look people in the eyes (STRUT) then with everything you got… Fake it till you make it! It works trust me (wink, wink.) You think I woke up one day and said “Oh, I wanna host events of the highest regard with celebrities and fancy venues, mitvahs and weddings at the State Room?” Haha. Not a chance… I faked it and made it. Period.
You might say, that all sounds great, but is it really a big deal to just say screw it once in awhile? No, it’s not a big deal. But, it’s a choice and it leads to other choices. Giving yourself a reason to dial it in is giving yourself a reason to sell yourself short. No debating about it. Still not convinced? Let’s try this, next time you want to take a “Day Off” think about some man or woman somewhere who isn’t and how much they are accomplishing in those hours you wanted to CHILL. Then, and only then if you still feel like your “Day Off” is justified then go nuts. But if you’re, like me or people that I MakeMoves with, then your picking up what I’m putting down.
How many of those days are enough days to get you off track? How many of those days are days that could have brought you that much closer to something? And honestly, how many of those days do you feel as good about yourself and energized in comparison with the days when you #MakeMoves?
I would consider myself a pretty big movie fan. I don’t really discriminate with movies, if something new comes out, I see it. Something comes out on Bluray that I wanted to see or liked, I buy it (then to download the digital copy because, let’s face it, that’s the future people.) I go to the movies every Friday morning/afternoon. My Cuzo would tell you that I have bad taste in movies (and I would say he has some interesting taste himself cough * Ninja Assassin * cough.) I just think I’ll see a movie because some movies that never received much praise have ended up being classics over time. It doesn’t mean I LIKE every movie that I see, but I’m open minded.
Rant over. Basically in watching a number of movies I started noticing the small jobs some characters have that have got to be the worst and then some behind the scenes, working on the movie jobs, that have also got to be the worst. Who knows maybe a movie is a movie and it’s all great?! But, I figured I’d do a top ten of the worst seeming jobs in or on movies.
10. Evil henchman
9. Stunt double – All guts, no glory
8. Evil Henchman stunt double
7. Waiter/Waitress – They’re usually struggling, picked on, victims of a robbery or someone skipping out on a bill (think Pulp Fiction)
6. Convenience clerk/Cashier
5. The people who have to make all of an actors/actresses dressing room demands happen
4. The people that have to hold cue cards
3. The guy in charge of the clapboard on Stanley Kubrick films— (Anyone besides my roomie get this one LOL?!)
2. Whoever types all of the thank yous/location info/nonsense at the end of movie credits
1. Playing the president of the USA – I know you all must be thinking I’m crazy, but let’s face it.. Whenever there’s a movie with the president earth is being attacked by asteroids, aliens, end of time, someone is trying to assassinate them, or they’re made fun of – Not exactly a fun role in my opinion.
What are some of the worst seeming jobs in or on movies in YOUR opinions!? Thanks for reading, hope you all have a safe and fun weekend. #MakeMoves
I recently was having a conversation with my friend Sami and we were talking about careers/life choices, etc and ended up thinking about where we’d be if we made very different choices. I asked her where she thought I’d be if I never got into entertainment and it was HILARIOUS what she came up with. I asked her if she’d mind writing it up as a guest post of sorts for me to share with all of you and I think she had a little too much fun coming up with it. This is what she wrote:
Hi Everybody! This was a lot of fun for me, thank you all for reading. And, thank you Kup for letting me participate on your blog! When Kupah asked if I’d mind writing what I was trying to say, I started thinking about some specific questions… Where would he be? What would he be doing? Not focusing so much on how other people would be impacted, but how would he?
If Kupah James never found entertainment I think he’d still be living an all-around successful and fun life. You can change a career, but you can’t change who a person is and what makes them who they are. Kupah is outgoing, loud, positive, ambitious, creative and active with an entrepreneurial spirit. He would have to be doing multiple things and working with people as much as possible.
I picture him in a corporate/office setting wearing a suit (suspenders over the shoulders) because he’s in a leadership or management position. Having studied sociology and criminal justice and previously working at a D.A.s office, I imagine he’d be doing something law oriented to help people or project-manage for a cause/company that helped people. That could be in a government/ public service way, or more legally/advocate based.
I imagine he would still be doing fitness and Klass with Kupah. But, he’d be going to the gym more and teaching more fitness classes (sadly, not Street Feet) than he does now. Depending on his actual day job, he’d be trying to start a foundation or open a gym. He’d be using business connections to network and find capital for these ventures.
I think he’d be in a committed relationship, living with his girlfriend, but, unsettled and feeling slightly unfulfilled. I think he’d be pursuing so many projects, jobs and hobbies to fill those voids and not know what was missing. He’d travel for work or to meet a potential investor and then get the travel bug. At that point I think he’d be trying to see as much as possible throughout the year and look into the real estate game; which would lead him to go for his realtor’s license and open up that market in the city of Boston.
I think we’d still find Kupah always on the go, always talking to people, making connections, trying to catch the next wave and forward thinking about projects and jobs. It just would be in different circles, different industries and be different activities and hobbies. I think his personal life would be different and we would find him more in the financial district or Back Bay during Happy Hour than at the latest nightclubs during the Midnight Hour.
Kupah James: Tamed-
Kupah #2 is less of an outwardly force of nature. Obviously you can’t remove someone’s love of music and creativity, but, not being the lifeblood of his day, what would that look like on Kupah #2 where movement, music and that specific type of creative element isn’t at the fore front? Now, Kupah has a hard time focusing too much on administrative type tasks/routine tasks. But, what if you have that creativity and fast-paced mind without the “muscle memory” of channeling it outward?
I think we’d have an outwardly reserved Kupah (crazy I know!) who wrote constantly and was glued to a computer for work. He’d write books and weekly columns and have a blog he updated 2-3x a day. This Kupah would work from home, be self-made and entrepreneurial but, in a completely different way.
But, this Kupah would be a dad and married. He’d be the stay at home parent, with a business minded wife. He’d take his wife on exciting vacations and plan elaborate date nights. He’d treat her like the queen she would be and be attentive and romantic. Think date nights and heartfelt cards, foot massages, etc LOL. He would still remain active, going to the gym regularly but now, instead of teaching fitness classes, he’d coach all of his kids’ sports teams and charm all the other moms and teachers at their schools. On a different personal note, he’d have his guys’ days with his friends at more local spots and spend his holidays at home instead of a gig!
This Kupah is still outgoing, still has his natural charm and people skills, and still has his focus and ambition. He’d be creative in his work and in his relationships but his social circle would be smaller in person, but larger to the masses through media. This Kupah would reach more people internationally/nationally through his writing.
Secret Agent Kupah:
This Kupah is the dream. This is the Kupah that our Kupah intended on being when he entered college and began his pursuits of sociology and criminal justice. This Kupah’s life is full of unending excitement (not always positive.) This is a Kupah who may have another undetermined name altogether. This would be James Cooper, FBI Agent.
This Kupah channels his talents and knowledge both physically and at a computer. He hates the reports he has to type up, the memos, the meetings that he’s not leading and reading all of the suspect profiles. He answers to somebody, multiple somebodies, but leads a team and makes more life-changing decisions in the field than he ever could in another profession. He’d use his charm and personality to have the best solve rate, hands down. Who better to gather information, back suspects into a corner conversationally and get a confession or at least real information from someone’s mom or girlfriend?
Physically he would work out constantly and be active in his daily work activities. He would be amassing all kinds of connections and networking to use as sources, aides, and to have the hook ups as he travels around for a case. Personally, he’d have few meaningful relationships outside of his partner, family and childhood friends.
This Kupah would maximize all of his strengths and passions, but would toe the line with censoring his comments and actions as he’d hate having to answer to someone and have that accountability to a superior. Think Mike Lowery FBI agent. He wouldn’t have as many projects and hobbies, but his career would, arguably, be one giant one. He’d travel and mingle and dance and be loud and make as big a difference. But, his difference wouldn’t be as well-known (keeping government secrets and all.)
I’d LOVE to hear your thoughts on this one LOL!! Which Kupah do you like the best? PLEASE share, tweet, like, subscribe….
It’s tough to ONLY think of 10 things that can be done for a new year. I don’t always think of a New Year’s resolution because anyone who knows me knows that I tend to wear my goals on my sleeve. With that said, I thought a lot about what I could do to be a better person and I was able to come up with a list far too long for any blog, so unfortunately, I’m only going to stick with 10! Sorry to disappoint! Below you will find 10 things I’m looking forward to working on in the New Year. Enjoy and please share some of your own too!
10) Read More; every time I have ever read anything I found myself learning something and I’m looking forward to learning more and broadening my horizons in literature.
9) Travel! With a little bit of planning I would like to get outside my comfort zone and see more of the world starting with my own neighboring states! With friends and family in Chicago, L.A, Miami, Delaware, Atlanta, NH & Texas I want to see all that they have to offer!
8. Money – No, no, not to make more, but learning how to use money, understand money, speak money, the list goes on. It’s been said that just about 2% of the population contain almost 90% of the Money! Why is that? Well I’m not an analyst but I do know some know how to use their earnings to make more earnings while some use their earnings to buy things they didn’t earn!
7) Get more organized! I can’t speak for anyone else but I’ll probably be working on this in every list! Lol. Becoming more organized has only given me the ability to be more productive and efficient. Therefore, it isn’t rocket science to think that continuing my organizing skills is necessary for greater success.
6) Friends, as previously stated in a FB post earlier this week. The company we keep is a representation of who we are (not to mention the most influential factor in how we behave.) I have won some and lost others. What remains is a young man taking a closer look at how I decide and who to surround myself with at all times. The drama setters, hypochondriacs, enablers, liars, jealous (aka haters) are all over the place. I’ll fight through the sea of nonsense and discover the true friends I have and allow them to help make me a better person.
5) Art of Silence; let’s start that one now buy letting YOU interpret it how you see fit. Sometimes remaining Silent is all you need to say.
4) Kupah goes to Boston. I’m moving to the city folks, ears and eyes open. If you know of any neighborhoods let me know. I’m finally moving into the City I have repped for so long; I can’t wait and I’m already excited!
3) Family – I’ve matured to understand family is first and I want to spend as much time as I can with my own! I have a sister and a mother, a barrage of cousins, aunts, uncles and so on. I will make more time to see them because one day it will be game over and there are no do-overs in the game of life.
2) Positivity, it has been mentioned by a small few that my energy and presence is infectious. I plan on trying to continue that trend and if ever possible spread more positivity throughout the land. Every smile counts! Trust me, every smile counts to someone!
1) MakeMoves; as the official creator of the dopest phrase out there, I’m saying MakeMoves is the universal phrase and can be used for thousands of reasons and purposes! For me, it simply acts as the conduit for my motivation. No parts or assembly required just MakeMoves! I intend on continuing the movement by expanding Klass Universal Entertainment and fulfilling all of the above. 2013 is here ladies and gentlemen… MAKEMOVES!
